Ethereum <> Arbitrum

In this document, we will explain how to bridge between Ethereum Mainnet and Arbitrum.

Preparation Phase

For bridging, the chains you will bridge in your wallet must be set up. In EVM-based wallets (such as Metamask), Ethereum is already set up by default. If you don't have the Arbitrum network in your wallet, you need to set it up first.

Phase 1

Add Arbitrum to MetaMask Manually

  • Open the drop-down menu by clicking on the Ethereum Mainnet display. Then click “Add network”.

  • Now click on “Add a network manually”.

  • On the “Add a network manually” page that opens, you'll need to add the following details. Click “Save” when you're done.

    • Network Name: Arbitrum One

    • New RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc

    • Chain ID:42161

    • Currency Symbol: ETH

    • Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io/

Or you can use ChainList to add new network. By visiting the link below, you can automatically add the "Arbitrum One" network to your wallet.

Phase 2

You need to have the contract addresses of the tokens you want to bridge. The Ethereum and Arbitrum contract addresses for EQB and ePendle are as follows:

Ethereum Mainnet:

EQB: 0xfE80D611c6403f70e5B1b9B722D2B3510B740B2B

ePendle: 0x22Fc5A29bd3d6CCe19a06f844019fd506fCe4455

Arbitrum:

EQB: 0xBfbCFe8873fE28Dfa25f1099282b088D52bbAD9C

ePendle: 0xd4848211B699503C772aA1Bc7D33b433C4242Ac3

Once you have added the chains and tokens to your wallet, your wallet should look like this for the Ethereum and Arbitrum One networks:

Bridging from Ethereum Mainnet to Arbitrum

In this phase, we will bridge the EQB token from Ethereum Mainnet to Arbitrum.

Step 1 - Switch to the Ethereum network in your wallet. Please go to https://bridge.arbitrum.io and connect with your wallet.

Step 2 - Select Mainnet on the "From" section.

Step 3 - Paste the EQB (Ethereum) contract address that we shared above into the token search box.

Step 4 - Select Arbitrum One on the "To" section.

Your transaction will appear like this before confirmation:

Step 5 - Then click on the "Move funds to Arbitrum One" button and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Review the notifications that appear and confirm them one by one.

Step 6 - Grant the token spending permission for the Arbitrum bridge. Here, you can choose "Use default" to grant unlimited spending approval, which can provide convenience for future transactions.

Step 7 - After granting the spending permission, you will see a new notification in your wallet to confirm the bridging transaction. You can proceed with this confirmation to initiate the bridging process.

Step 8 - Once you confirm this transaction, the bridging process will begin. As shown in the image below, the process will take approximately 15 minutes.

Step 9 - When the bridging process is completed, you will see a message similar to the one below.

Now you have successfully transferred the EQB token from Ethereum to the Arbitrum network, and you can switch to the Arbitrum network in your wallet to see the EQB token.

If you want to bridge ePendle, you can follow all these steps in the same order. All you need to do is paste the ePendle / Ethereum contract address into the token list under the "From" section in Step 3

Bridging from Arbitrum to Ethereum Mainnet

In this phase, we will bridge the ePendle token from Arbitrum to Mainnet

Step 1 - Switch to the Arbitrum network in your wallet. Please go to https://bridge.arbitrum.io and connect with your wallet.

Step 2 - Select Arbitrum on the "From" section.

Step 3 - Paste the ePendle (Arbitrum) contract address that we shared above into the token search box.

Step 4 - Select Arbitrum One on the "To" section.

Your transaction will appear like this before confirmation:

Step 5 - Then click on the "Move funds to Mainnet" button and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Step 6 - At this step, the application will present you with a confirmation window. Here, you will encounter two options: "Use a third-party bridge" and "Use Arbitrum's bridge." For a safer transaction, we strongly recommend selecting the "Use Arbitrum's bridge" option. This guide will continue with this choice.

When you click on "Use Arbitrum's bridge" a warning will appear, stating that the process will take approximately 8 days, along with two terms that you need to confirm. After giving your consent, click on "Continue"

Step 7 - Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Step 8 - Once you confirm this transaction, the bridging process will begin. As shown in the image below, the process will take approximately 7 days.

Step 9 - After the bridging process is completed (~7 days later), you will need to revisit https://bridge.arbitrum.io/?l2ChainId=42161 and "Claim" your bridged ePendle tokens.

If you want to bridge EQB, you can follow all these steps in the same order. All you need to do is paste the EQB / Arbitrum contract address into the token list under the "From" section in Step 3

Once the claiming process is completed, your ePendle tokens will be available for use on the Mainnet.
